Anna Figurska

Muscle Xcess athlete

In 2014 I made the move from being a ‘cardio queen’ to teaching a variety of classes after becoming a qualified instructor.

Who is Anna Figurska?

My favourite product is H-Bomb.

My name is Anna Figurska and I was born in Olsztyn, Poland, in 1984.

From an early age, I was around a variety of sports. My Father played for the local football team and my Mother was a gymnast who competed at a National level in Poland. As a result, both my sister and I loved sport, with my passion being volleyball, including beach volleyball. My greatest achievement was to place 2nd in the National Junior Beach Volleyball Championships.

In 2004 I moved to Scotland, leaving volleyball behind, and that’s when I discovered the gym, although it was much later that I started to lift.

In 2014 I made the move from being a ‘cardio queen’ to teaching a variety of classes after becoming a qualified instructor.  It was then that I realised I wanted more than just classes so I started to lift and I haven’t looked back.

In May 2016 I started to think about competing, although I knew I wasn’t ready, and went to speak with Michelle Morris to get advice and a plan. It was another year before I felt I was close to being ready and in May this year Michelle advised me to contact Harry Ogg with the view to him supporting me towards my first competition.

In June this year (2017), with the support of Harry and Michelle, I entered my first competition, The UKBFF Scottish Championships, placing 2nd in the Body Fitness class. As a result I was invited to compete in the UKBFF British Championships in Nottingham in October.

In July I entered my second competition, The UKBFF Scottish Grand Prix and this time I placed 1st and received an invite to compete in the Arnold Classic, Barcelona, in September this year (2017).

My goal for this year is to be the best I possibly can be for the Arnold Classic and the UKBFF British Championships.
